We are a Veteran owned licensed and bonded private investigation firm covering the five Boroughs as well as Long Island. Our operatives have law enforcement experience from various agencies throughout the area. These Police personnel, both active and retired, compliment our staff adding years of investigative experience.
Through our extensive database, we are able to access public records, such as nationwide motor vehicle searches, real property records, corporate filings, criminal court filings, as well as verify addresses, assets, obtain Social Security numbers and run skip tracing in order to locate individuals and businesses, etc.
Additionally, we maintain a direct computer link into the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles in Albany, New York. This allows us instant access to all Department of Motor Vehicle records on a 24-hour basis.
We are a cost-conscious firm, fully realizing the budgetary restraints Confronting companies in today’s market. Particular attention is devoted to holding Investigative costs to a minimum, thereby avoiding unnecessary time and expenses.
All of our invoices include a complete and detailed summary of time and expenses. Likewise, our reports are clean, concise, timely, and can be submitted via email in PDF format.

Corporate Personnel Biography
Gregory T. Carey – From 1966 through 1968 Gregory T. Carey served in the United States Army as a non-commissioned officer assigned overseas as a squad leader with the rank of Sergeant.
From 1969 through 1990, Mr. Carey was assigned to the Suffolk County Police Department achieving the rank of Detective 1st Grade. He was assigned as a team leader to the District Attorney’s Racket Bureau from 1977 until his retirement where his major concentration was on insurance fraud, burglary, organized and white collar crimes and surveillance.
Gregory T. Carey graduated from Suffolk County Community College in Selden, New York in 1975 with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. In 1977, he became a graduate of New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science.
Mr. Carey has been the president of United Investigation Service of Greater New York, Inc. since 1990 and has also worked with various other entities during that time frame. From 1985 through 1993, he worked as a Security Consultant for Estee Lauder, and was the personal bodyguard to the President of the company.
From 1992 through 1997, Mr. Carey was a Consultant for the Town of Smithtown Public Safety Department in the capacity of Senior Investigator of the Special Investigation Unit which entailed conducting background investigations on new candidates for positions, accident investigation involving town owned vehicles, and surveillance relating to vendors servicing the town.
Currently, Mr. Carey is the President & CEO of United Investigation Service of Greater New York, Inc., retained by numerous local law firms, insurance companies handling both criminal and civil investigations where he supervises a pool of Field Investigators with regard to various types of Investigations.
Mr. Carey is a licensed Private Investigator both in NYS as well as Florida. In addition, he is licensed by the NYS DCA as a Process Server.
